Everest Base Camp Trekking is most popular trekking trail in Nepal, situated at the heart of the Himalayas at a height of 5,600 m. The Everest base camp has become the dream for many explorers who wish to reach to the Mt. Everest, the world highest and the most beautiful mountain in the earth. The trekking to the Everest base camp has been eminent from when Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenjing Norgay Sherpa made the summit successfully for the first time in 1953. From its establishment, Nepal Adventure Bound has been arranging all sorts of trekking, either camping or tea house in this route throughout the year but the best season to visit this region is considered to from the beginning of March to mid-May and from the beginning of September to mid-November.
The Everest base camp trekking along with Gokyo and Kalapathar is one of the most visited and considered to be one of the challenging trekking routes in Khumbu region, the north-east of Nepal and the home town of legendary Sherpa ethnic groups. This trekking is famous for both hiking in the high Himalayas but also for its breath taking Himalayan vistas of the highest peaks of the world, the Mt. Everest [8,848m] along with other peaks such as Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201 m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt. Lotse (8,516 m) among others. Similarly, the visitors are overwhelmed with the views of unbelievable peaks, Buddhist monasteries, unique landscapes and warm hospitality of friendly Sherpa ethnic groups.
The trekking to Everest Base Camp begins by flight from Kathmandu to the mountain airstrip to Lukla, (the heart of Everest Region) then after about three hours walk, you will reach at Phakding and continue north up to Dudh Kosi valley and to Namche bazaar, where there you will spend one day for acclimatization. Then next day, you will continue trekking to Kala-Palapathar, along with Gokyo valley and finally reach to the Everest base Camp. Making excursion around, you will return back to Dingboche or Pheriche and ultimately return back to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
