Annapurna Base Camp trekking is one of the classic treks in Nepal and one of the demanded trekking among the clients of Nepal Adventure Bound. Annapurna Base Camp is a deep glacier-covered amphitheater, surrounded by a ring of impressive high peaks including Mt. Himalchuli, Mt. Annapurana South, Fang Annapurna, Gangapurana, Mt. Annapurna III and Mt. Fishtail known as Mt. Machhapuchhare. The trekking to this area takes to the most spectacular mountain scenery, charming settlements of diverse ethnic groups and their slate-roofed houses, incredible rhododendron forests and deep sub-tropical valleys, passes through the gorgeous lowlands, wonderful high mountains and breathtaking scenery valleys. Along the trail, there lies Ghorepani poon hill (3210m) one of the best panoramic view center of Annapurna region.
The trekking to Annapurna Base Camp begins from Pokhara along with the Dhampus Ridge. It passes through the Gurung villages of Landrung and Chomrong, along with rhododendron and bamboo forests of Hinko Cave and finally reaches to the Annapurna Base camp. Then, the trail descents down to Tatopani (natural hot spring) at Ghorepani and make short trip to Poon Hill, from where you will have spectacular sunrise over the Himalaya, including the scenes of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (7041m), Fishtail (6998m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7939m) , Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna south (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Lamjung Himal (6986m),Tukuche peak (6920m) among others. Subsequently, the trail descends down to Muktinath, via Ghasa-Tukuche Marpha village (one of the best apple garden in Nepal) making an excursion to the area, the trail finally takes to Jomsom then fly back to Pokhara, subsequently to Kathmandu.
